Chinese manufacturer ZTE just announced a new smartphone, designed for the U.S. market, going by the name of Blade MAX 3. And after taking a first look at it, we can completely understand why it’s called MAX.
To be more specific, the handset comes with a huge 6.0″ display, rocking a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is decent, but QHD would’ve been way better! Otherwise, the ZTE Blade MAX 3 is powered by one of Qualcomm’s most popular mid-range chips, the Snapdragn 625, alongside 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. This is a bit low, but, fortunately, there’s also a microSD card slot on board, allowing you to expand the storage capacity.
Moving on, one of the biggest selling points of this new handset is the battery, which, thanks to its capacity of 4000mAh, it’s able to provide a talk time of up to 40 hours or a stand-by time of – get ready for this – up to 31 days!
The spec sheet of the ZTE Blade MAX 3 is completed by a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and a dedicated Digital-to-Analog Converter, able to provide a high quality audio experience, while using the included headphones. The operating system is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and we still don’t know if it’s going to receive a Nougat update in the future.
Finally, let’s not forget about the camera department, represented by a 13 MP dual setup on the back, aided by an LED flash, as well as a 5 MP front-facing unit.
Price-wise, the ZTE Blade MAX 3 will be available for the price of $199.99, through U.S. Cellular, after a $100 online discount. Also, you can opt for 24 monthly installments of $12.5. It can be ordered directly from the carrier’s website, since it’s an exclusive, at least for the moment. It’s highly recommended to check if the carrier offers its services in your area first.
