In recent past, we have seen two devices having a 2″ secondary display on the back, Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. Now, a Russian company, Yota, has come up with another device, YotaPhone 3, with a 5.2-inch huge secondary display on the back. Now, having the secondary display wasn’t enough here with YotaPhone 3, so the company has also provided capacitive keys at the bottom of the secondary display.
The 5.2 inch always-on grayscale capacitive secondary display covers almost the entire back area except for the top and bottom bezels, which contain primary camera sensor and Yota branding. There is a primary 5.5 inches AMOLED display on the front, which gets Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
As far as other specifications are concerned, this YotaPhone 3 comes with Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. Cameras are the not very impressive part of Yotaphone 3 but still, it has a 13MP sensor with dual tone LED flash at the back and 12MP sensor at the front. The device runs on Android Nougat based YotaOS 3.0 out of the box.
Additionally, the device comes with USB Type C support, front mounted fingerprint scanner, 3,300 mAh battery with Qi Wireless charging support. It has been said that the device will go on pre-order from September 5 and the actual sale will start from September 18, exactly two weeks later. The 64GB model gets a price tag of CNY2,398, which is equivalent to $360 and 128GB model gets CNY3,098, equivalent to $465.
