Xiaomi Redmi Pro Official Release Date 6th August

After Xiaomi released a couple of promo images for its upcoming Redmi Pro smartphone where the company’s CEO Lei Jun was holding the device and not much could be seen, we now know that the official release date is the 6th of August.

Furthermore, the sales start at 10 am in the morning and the device will be available for purchase in only eight cities at first: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Chongqing and Guangzhou. However, more cities and even countries will be added soon.

If you happen to find yourself in one of these cities, you should know that there will be a prize for the first 50 people that will buy the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. No one knows what that prize actually is but some presume it will be a Xiaomi Mi Band 2.

If you’re thinking about buying the Xiaomi Redmi Pro, here is some info related to its specs.

First of all, it sports a 5.5 inch OLED display with 1080 x 1920 px. The exclusive edition is powered by a Mediatek MT6797T Helio X25 processor with a deca core 2.5 GHz CPU and a Mali T880 MP4 GPU – the high and standard editions feature slightly different specs. The Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes in three color variants: Gold, Silver and Gray.

There will also be two variants of the smartphone based on RAM Size: a 3 GB one and a 4 GB one. The former comes in two variants as well when it comes to native storage space: 32 GB and 64 GB. The 4 GB of RAM variant has 128 GB storage space. The storage space can be expanded with the help of a microSD card up to 256 GB.

In terms of camera, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro features two of them: a dual-LED 13 MP rear one and a 5 MP front one. The former has a f/2.0 aperture complete with phase detection auto focus. It also sports a huge non-removable Li-lon 4050 mAh battery for extra battery life than your average smartphone.

It will also run the last OS released by Google, Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
