Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A officially launched with 5.5-inch Display, 16MP Selfie Camera, Octa-Core Processor

Xiaomi always surprises us and well, the company does it again with the launch of Redmi Note 5A. We are saying this because the device has all the good specifications at the very affordable price. Well, the base model of the phone which comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage gets a price tag of CNY 699, which is less than Rs 7,000 INR.

Coming to the specifications, the device comes with a Snapdragon 435 octa-core chipset coupled with 2/3/4 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB of internal storage option. This device also supports an external microSD card up to 256GB to expand the memory. But wait, this is not the end, the device also has a 16MP selfie shooter along with 13MP primary camera at the back.

Another most fascinating feature of the device is, the two high-end models (3GB RAM and 4GB RAM) support fingerprint scanner which stays at the back. I personally haven’t seen any device in this price bracket having a fingerprint sensor, even Nokia 3 which falls in similar price bracket doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner.

As far as display is concerned, this device gets a 5.5 inch 1280 x 720px LCD display. Now, this amazing device runs on the latest MIUI 9, which is launched a month ago and currently few Xiaomi devices run on it. Redmi Note 5A comes with Android 7.0 out of the box. Another great specification is its battery, which is 3,080mAh.

As far as pricing is concerned, it has been said that the device would be available in three variant, one which has 2GB RAM and 16GB memory comes with price tag of CNY 699, another which has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory comes with price tag of CNY 899 and the last one, which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB memory comes with price tag of CNY 1,199.
