Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Leak Reveals Snapdragon 630/660 Chipset, Battery and More

The Redmi Note is one of the best promoting affair for the Xiaomi brand itself. Hence, the anticipations for the next smartphone in the series, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 grew up greatly, which has eventually led to a leak now, revealing the specs of the device. The main highlight the leak has brought out is that about the device’s Snapdragon SoC and battery.

Yes, as per the leak it is expected that the Redmi Note 5 will arrive with a choice of two different chipsets, such as Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660. Both the chipsets are built out of the efficient 14nm process, while the SD 660 stands more powerful, for its Kryo Cores that is even capable of better graphics.

Moreover, the leak manifests that it will pack a 3,790mAh battery, supporting QuickCharge 3.0. But however, even the Redmi Note 4, the previous one in the line was powered by a 4,100mAh battery. This considerably disappointing descend, might have been made to render the device, 7.5mm in thickness.

Further, as per the latest reveal, the device will sport a 5.5-inch IPS display screen, with a resolution of 1080 pixels. For photography, there are 16 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX 234 sensor, and 0.3s focus lock (PDAF); and a 13MP selfie shooter.

The prices will vary based on the storage variant. Apparently, the 3GB/32GB model will cost CNY 1,200/$175/ €155; the 4GB/32GB variant will cost CNY 1,400/$205/€180; and the larger 4GB/64GB one will be up for CNY 1,500/$220/€195.
