Last month, Xiaomi introduced the new Redmi Note 4X, with 3GB of RAM, as well as 32 gigs of storage, also announcing that a more powerful version, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will also be available in the near future.
The rumors were claiming that the handset will also use a different processor, most likely Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653, but, unfortunately, the manufacturer decided to rely on the Helio X20 instead, a deca-core model, previously spotted in a TENAA listing yesterday.
The information was revealed by Xiaomi’s official website, where the new version of the Redmi Note 4X is already available, also mentioning a few more specs. To be more specific, the smartphone will have a Mali T880MP4 GPU, running at 700MHz, and offer support for microSD cards up to 128GB. However, these don’t come as a surprise, since they’re the same as on the handset’s 3GB variant.
Currently, there’s no information regarding the price of this upgraded Redmi Note 4X variant, but some sources are pointing to CNY 1099, which is about $160, a very good one, considering the specs and the design. However, this price seems unlikely, considering that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Exclusive Version, which was introduced a few weeks ago, and has the exact specs as this new version, is priced at CNY 1399, which translates to $203.
For the moment, this is everything we know, but as soon as new details about the availability and price will be available, we will let you know!
