Xiaomi has been in the market for a while now and they have been steadily redefining the way we look at flagships and high-end devices by offering us the same great things that any other manufacturer would, but with a very nice catch to it – the price is almost a steal when compared to what the competition is offering at the same range of specs. Back in the month of August, Xiaomi launched a Redmi Note 4 device in China, and this one had a deca-core Helio X20 processor running under its hood. After this introduction was the expectation for the company to launch one of these units that ran a different processor in India and now, we have the Redmi Note 4X surfacing in China.
For the specs on this brother to the Note 4, this new unit is expected to run out of the box with a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 653 chip-sets under the hood. It would also run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on it, even though we would have loved if it just made its debut with the Nougat on board. On top of the Marshmallow operating system would be Xiaomi’s in-house software, MIUI 8.1. Going further into what this device offers on the inside, there is a 4 GB RAM CPU somewhere in there and is expected to come with an internal storage space of 32GB. Although it is very likely, we are not sure if they would be selling this one with internal storage space variants.
According to the image that has surfaced online, this Note 4X should have the rest of its specifications similar to what you would get on the already existent Note 4. This means that we are looking forward to the same 5.5 inches of screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, developed with full HD technology. There should be a 64GB storage option if the Note 4 is a yardstick to judge by, and there would be the slot for an extra microSD card should you need even more space. If you happen to be a lover of dual SIMs, don’t get your hopes high yet though because the extra SIM card slot is also the same slot for the microSD card. Think hybrid, baby.
This unit would come equipped with its fingerprint and infrared sensor technology for better security options and for cameras, there’s a 13MP sensor on the back paired to the 5MP shooter for selfies. Overall, the Redmi Note 4X would draw power from a 4000mAh battery equipped with QuickCharge 3.0 (using QUALCOMM chipsets does come with its advantages). As for pricing, it is rumoured that it would start at about 1299 yuan (about $180)
