The Xiaomi 3 and 3S models have only recently been launched in China and we already have speculations started about the fourth gen of the series – the Xiaomi Redmi 4. Not only this, but it doesn’t come down just to speculation, there are also some leaked images of the handset’s prototype circling online. And now, several reports have surfaced about the device’s specs, release date and price.
For example, a report from Weibo allegedly stated that the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be launched on the 25th of August. While it’s just a rumor, some believe it to be very close to the truth as it also offers information about the price.
Rumored Specs – Supposedly, the handset will spot a full metal design with a 5 inch display with 1080 px in resolution. It will also feature a fingerprint sensor which adds to the security levels of the device. It’s also believed that the device will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor complete with an octa-core 2GHz CPU and an Adreno 605 GPU.
It’s also believed to have 3 GB of RAM complete with 32 GB of native storage space but it’s very possible that it will have other internal storage space variants. In terms of battery, it appears to feature a huge 4100 mAh one that is said to support Quick Charging technology and it will also offer increased battery life for the handset.
Some of these features also appear on Geekbench – a benchmarking site where there is a listing for the handset. According to this site, the device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
As mentioned previously, there are also rumors about it that state the price for the upcoming device and that is presumed to start at $699 yuan or $106 for the basic version – the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of native stor Page space one. However, it seems like a very small price for all of the specs that it has under the hood and when compared to the previous Xiaomi Redmi 3 and 3S.
