Although the Redmi 3S has just been released in India, we already have leaked images of an upcoming Redmi 4. And we’re not talking about one or two blurry images; we’re talking about several images that show the supposed Redmi 4 from all possible angles.
The leaked images were published by Playfuldroid and they only show a silver colored variant that has a full metal casing and round edges.
Apparently, this device has a circular shaped camera on the rear side with a flash right next to it. Also, right underneath it there is a very obvious fingerprint reader. It also has capacitive buttons on the front side. If we look closely at the bottom edge we see a Micro USB port that has speaker grilles on both sides. The right edge of the device appears to house the power button and the volume ones as well.
It’s also very obvious that the supposed Redmi 2 is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There are also several text tags on the back side of the phone that mention that that respective device is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and that it has 2 GB or RAM plus 32 GB of native storage space.
Of course, there is no info related to the price at this point because it’s too early, but there are some assumptions related to the device’s release date which is expected to be in mid-September of 2016.
Now, back to the release of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S in India which is priced at 6,999 rupees and the Redmi 3S Prime which is priced at 8,999 rupees – apparently, these phones are the first Xiaomi models to be manufactured in India.
The Redmi 3S has 2 GB or RAM and 16 GB of native storage space, whereas the Redmi 3S Prime has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage space. The latter also features a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi 3S Prime will go on sale in the 9th of August and the Redmi 3S will go on sale on the 14th of August. Both devices will be available through Mi.com and Flipkart.
