Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi doesn’t show any signs of stopping! After releasing some amazing phones, like the Mi Note 2, Mi Max or Mi 5, they’re getting ready to unveil the Redmi, during a special event, scheduled for November 4.
These details were revealed by a teaser image ( Redmi 4) outed by Xiaomi today, which also reveals the handset’s top left corner. Even though it’s just a tiny detail, we can spot the earpiece and the 2.5D curved glass, covering the display, as well as the metal construction.
Spec-wise, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is rumoured to come with a 5″ touchscreen, rocking a 1080p resolution, while under the hood it should feature a Qualcomm-made chipset, with an octa-core configuration, alongside 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
On the back, the phone will come with a 13 MP camera, with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto focus and an LED flash, while on the front it should have a 5 MP selfie unit. As for the battery, the phone will be relying on a 4000 mAh battery.
Finally, let’s not forget about the operating system, which should be Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but customized with the manufacturer’s own user interface, MIUI.
Other features worth mentioning, which we will most likely see on the handset are the fingerprint scanner, fast charging and the active noise cancellation technology, with dedicated mic.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be available in Gray, silver and gold, with a starting price of CNY 1,300, which roughly translates to $192. Like always, Xiaomi manages to release a decent mid-ranger, for a pocket-friendly price.
Besides the Redmi 4, Xiaomi should also announce the lower-end Redmi 4A during the same event, a phone which will be available for a way lower price.
We will be back with more details about the handset, as soon as it makes its official debut.
