The folks over Xiaomi are getting ready to release a pretty interesting device, currently known as Mi Note 2! A few days ago, the first 3D renders of the handset, as well as some scarce details, made the rounds online, revealing a very good looking device, but we were a bit skeptical about the authenticity. However, the latest leaks are showing the real deal!
Apparently, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in a glossy black finish, with a single camera setup on the back (not two, as previously rumored), accompanied by a dual LED flash, as well as a display curved on both sides, a feature previously seen on the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Since there’s no image with the front of the handset, we can say anything about the bezel-less design, though. However, this would be a really great addition!
LG will provide the OLED 3D Touch-enabled display, which, depending on the variant you’ll be buying – because the Mi Note 2 will come in two variants – will be housed in glass or ceramic. It is said to measure 5.7 inches a rock whooping resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels, resulting a density of 773 ppi. Pretty hard to believe we’d say.
Finally, the whole phone will be built around a metallic frame, featuring a fingerprint scanner hidden somewhere under the front panel.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 should be powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset, with a quad-core configuration, alongside an Adreno 530 GPU and 4 or 6 GB of RAM. It will be available with 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal storage, but without the possibility of expanding it, since the microSD card slot is missing.
As for the rear camera, it will most likely have a 16 MP sensor, with an f/2.0 aperture, while on the front, the handset is expected to feature a 4 MP selfie unit, with the same aperture.
