We’ve heard rumors about an upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 4 handset and now rumors have surfaced about an upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The phablet is rumored to be launched on the 5th of September and it’s one of the most anticipated devices right now, because it comes in many variants display wise and memory wise thus giving people many options to choose from.
Recently, a leaked image of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 surfaced online and it showcases the curved panel on the device – just the panel, no phone.
If we really look at the alleged curved panel image for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 we will notice that it’s actually very similar to the one seen on Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but with a very clear Xiaomi logo on the top left corner of the panel. The panel also suggests that the upcoming device will feature a dual curved edge design.
Supposedly, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will sport a fingerprint scanner for added security which will be embedded into the display. However, we can clearly see on the panel that there will be a ‘Home’ button which will more than likely house the fingerprint sensor, thus contradicting the former report.
In terms of specs, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumored to feature a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display that will have many resolution variants so buyers can take their pick. Supposedly it will pack a Snapdragon 821 chipset that will also come in many RAM and ROM variants. It’s also presumed to pack an immense 4000 mAh battery which will support quick charging tech.
The device is believed to be priced at 2499 yuan or $376 but since there will be so many variants in this series, you can also assume that they will be priced different according to how good the specs are. It’s really going to come down to what specs you would like to see featured by your phablet.
Given the rumored launch date is only a month from now, we should expect more leaks, info, reports, rumors or renders to surface until then.
