Finally, the Xiaomi has unveiled its next big smartphone, Mi Mix 2, which is almost bezel-less from three sides and has a very little visible bezel at the bottom. However, the company has cut down the display size from its predecessor, as this Mi Mix 2 comes with 5.99 inches (6″) full HD curved display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Coming to the design aspect, this amazing bezel-less phone has nothing on the front except for the few sensors, front camera, and earpiece. On the right side, the device has volume rockers and power button while on the left side there is SIM slot. As far as the backside of the phone is concerned, there are three things, single lens camera, LED flash and fingerprint sensor.
Talking about the specifications, the most important part is its processor, which is Snapdragon 835 chipset, the same chipset which Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 have. The 835 chipset is coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage. As far as the camera is concerned, this device has only single lens back camera, that is a 12MP shooter with optical image stabilization support and dual tone LED flash. Sadly, there is no 4K video support. The front camera is of 5MP, which is again very basic.
Earlier, we expected that this device would feature a huge battery, however, the reality is far different, as this device comes with a 3,400mAh battery which is again smaller than its predecessor. However, the good part is, this device supports Quick Charge 3.0. Additionally, the device has USB Type-C, rear mounted fingerprint scanner. This device runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat.
As far as pricing is concerned, the 6GB RAM variant’s price starts from RMB 3,299 (equivalent to Rs 32,000) and the 8GB RAM variant’s price starts from RMP 5,299 (equivalent to Rs 52,000). The device is available in two color variant, Black, and white.
