We all were expecting that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 would debut in September and now the company has confirmed this by sending invites for the event on September 11. Xiaomi has posted on its official Weibo account explaining about the launch event, which is going to happen at Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium on Sept. 11 at 2 PM local time.
Sadly, the invite doesn’t talk about specifications except for the display, which is going to be fully bezel-less. The image on the invite also shows a device with almost no bezels around. Xiaomi has named this design, Full Screen 2.0 Design. Now, one thing to notice here is, Apple is believed to launch its next generation devices on September 12, which indicates that Xiaomi would launch this device against iPhones.
Coming back to Mi Mix 2, it seems that phone would have higher screen-to-body ratio when compared with its predecessor. Some rumors suggest that the ratio would be 95 percent. As far as display is concerned, the predecessor, Mi Mix has 6.4inch display while it is believed that this device would get a 6.0-inch display with aspect ratio 18:9.
Some other report clears that phone would not feature a ceramic body but it would have a metallic body. Few reports also suggest that the company might introduce 3D facial recognition technology with this device. In other specifications, it is believed that the device would get Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage.
Additionally, we expect that this device would get fast charging support as well as wireless charging. It has been said that this device would feature 3,400mAh battery which is quite less when compared with display size. As far as pricing is concerned, the device would get a price tag of 3,999 Yuan, which is equivalent to $600.
