The all favorite Asiatic online retailer GearBest; has now listed the unreleased Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on its website. They have even put-up an ‘Arrival Notice’ button, in which you can give-in your email id, so that you could be notified, when the device actually turns out to be available.
Well, just on the first glance at the listing, we could clearly make out that the image posted, is definitely a mock up. We could see the device, shown in the image, has nothing but just the display, covering-up the whole front part of it. Yes it is bezel-less, which we could digest though; but will it really come sans the front-facing camera? This particular thing, strongly makes it very much doubtful.
Let’s move on to the specs, specified in the listing, leaving the fake render aside, for a while. According to it, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is pretty much believable, because we have seen the recently introduced Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus, being equipped with the same chip.
In further, it says that the phone will be featured with a 6.4” AMOLED display, rendering a resolution of 2540X1440 pixel. A 19 MP primary camera and a 13 MP secondary one, are also enlisted. But, as mentioned already, the selfie shooter is missing in the render image.
Apart from it, they have also listed three different variants, based on the RAM and memory storage, such as: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. It is also said that the device will pack a 4,500 mAH battery as well.
Surprisingly, even the dimensions are also specified here, for such an unconvincing listing; but again, we found it to be the same dimensions, as the older Mi Mix. On the whole, we could say it is just a placeholder that the GearBest has allocated, to use for the phone, when it is officially released.
