Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Launched in China With 6.4 Inch Display, Snapdragon 625 and Massive 5300 mAh Battery

The Xiaomi Mi Max gained a runaway success in China, with more than 1.5 million units sold, since it had been launched over the past year. Well, after this grand success, today Xiaomi has finally pulled the wraps off its larger successor phablet, Mi Max 2 at an event in China.

Like its predecessor, the new model’s biggest highlights are the hefty screen and massive battery. On the design aspects; the Mi Max 2 doesn’t incorporate major changes than its predecessor.

Well, the metal unibody along with tucked bottom, and antenna lines at the top and bottom, makes it an eye-catchy one. Furthermore, the side bezels are trimmed down to make it comfortable for a better feel in hand. Apart from these, there are no big changes.

Xiaomi touts that, the humongous 5300 mAh battery can withstand charge for up to two days on normal usage; 18 hours of watching video; 10 days of hearing music; 9 hours of playing games; and finally 57 hours of call. The device, with the help of the Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support, can easily charge 68% in just an hour.

Apart from the massive battery, the Mi Max 2 sports a large 6.44-inch FHD display with 1080p resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and there are two options for its internal storage (64GB/128GB). Well however, the SD 625 is quite disappointing, we expected a much better one, than this.

Moreover, for imaging duties, you’ll find a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with LED flash, auto focus, HDR and PDAf support. Whereas, a 5MP one is given for snapping selfies and video chat.
