After announcing Mi 5X, MIUI 9 and much more stuff at the recent event in Beijing, Xiaomi has become busy again and this time it seems that the company is working on the Mi 6C, which is believed as the mini-version of the flagship Mi 6. Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched in April this year and became a huge hit and that’s why the company is willing to come up with a mini-version of it.
Coming to the specifications, it is believed that the Xiaomi Mi 6C would get Xiaomi Surge S2 octa-core chipset, which is again very much different from what we have in Mi 6. Hopefully, the device would come in two variant, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage while the other one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Sadly, there wouldn’t be any microSD card slot to expand the memory.
As far as display is concerned, the device may get a 5.15inch full HD IPS LCD display. Now, one thing to notice here is that the company has tried to cut down the side-bezels(from the leaked images), which ultimately increase the beauty of the device. Another major thing which comes out in the leaks is that the company may remove the 3.5mm headphone jack, just like Apple did in its iPhone 7, however, we are not sure about this.
Coming to the camera, it is believed that the Mi 6C would probably get a dual (12 MP + 5 MP) Sony IMX386 sensors at the back and 5MP of the same sensor at the front for selfie lovers. It is also believed that the primary camera would have Optical Image Stabilization feature.
Additionally, the device may get front-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type C support, fast battery charging support. Now, few reports claim that the device would get a price tag of CNY 2,000, which is equivalent to Rs 19,000.
