A month ago, after Xiaomi managed to drag all the attention upon them, thanks to the superb Mi Mix handset, a white variant of it made the rounds online, even being listed at a Chinese online store. However, the manufacturer announced that the model wasn’t available.
Currently, it’s still not available for purchase, but hey, you can sign up for sales alerts, meaning that somewhere, in the future, Xiaomi will make the white Mi Mix!
As you probably know, the biggest attraction point of this smartphone is the border-less display, measuring 6.4 inches and rocking a resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels. Moving on to what’s under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line processor, the Snapdragon 821, alongside 4 GB of RAM and 128 gigs of storage, or, if you prefer a beefier version, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix comes with a 16 MP rear-mounted unit and a 5 MP front-facing snapper, mounted somewhere under at the bottom of the phone, which is definitely an unusual design choice, but it makes sense, since otherwise, the bezel-less display would’ve been impossible to achieve.
Finally, we should mention that it’s powered by a 4,400 mAh battery and it’s available just in Black. However, we’re looking forward to January 2017, when Xiaomi could make its fans a surprise and unveil the white Mi Mix.
Except the colour, there shouldn’t be any differences between the handsets, but we don’t ignore the possibility of seeing a bigger price tag for the white variant.
