Vivo have always aimed to reach out to the mid-range position of the smartphone market with their X series, one of the foremost phones that came with a dual selfie camera setup. Now, Vivo seems to be working on the next iteration to the series, which is dubbed as X9S Plus.
As you all know, the X9 series includes the X9 and X9 Plus. To have a quick look back, the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus were announced earlier in China, by last year’s November. Now, the X9S Plus is coming scarcely half a year after the announcement of the previous ones. And the latest leak about the X9S Plus is, it has received the radio frequency certification in China and also comes with a Snapdragon 660 processor.
Assuring it to be true, the device will be the first one to use the processor. In addition, it should also be noted that the Snapdragon 660 has not been announced yet. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 is a new processor, specifically designed for the mid-rangers. The chipset is manufactured using 14nm process and it is an Octa-Core chip, consisting Kyro CPU core in 4 + 4 combination.
The first four cores are clocked at 2.2GHz, while the remaining four are clocked at 1.9GHz. There is an integrated Adreno 512 GPU; and will support dual channel LPDDR4X memory, UFS 2.1 storage, and X10 LTE base band.
Furthermore, the rumors have revealed that, Vivo X9S Plus can be expected to come with a dual selfie camera; in addition, they have also planned to reflect the same in rear too. If this miracle happens, then X9S Plus will be the second smartphone, after the Alcatel’s Flash, which is set to come with a dual camera system on both front and back.
We still do not know, when Vivo is planning to release this handset. Let’s remain silent and shall not be too judgmental about this device before its release.
