Well, 2016 had been a great year for the Vivo, as their duo, the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus were well-received, setting a diligent standard, for its chic artistry. Following them, the Vivo X9s and X9s Plus are supposed to iterate the smartphone line that are nearing the launch, by the way. Luckily, we’ve got a chance to glimpse the Vivo X9s Plus, just a day before.
This comes from leaked pictures, covering the front, back and bottom sides of the upcoming device, surfaced online via the Chinese social media site, Weibo. Going by these images, we could infer that the front of the X9s Plus looks quite familiar, with dual cameras on the top and a home button on its chin, which is also seemingly used as the fingerprint sensor.
The bottom of the device holds a USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, it seems like Vivo is still sticking to the age old micro USB port, instead of a USB Type-C port. Further, the phone bears a single rear camera with LED flash at the back panel. Likewise, the leaked images also reveals that the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is wrapped with the Vivo Funtouch OS.
Notwithstanding all these, the bigger reveal from the leak is; the smartphone is powered by a 1.95GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC. Unluckily, this info discredits the previous rumors, which hinted a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. With the fact disregarding the rumors on the chipset, we’re quite bewildered on the legitimacy of the other specs, the earlier rumors had it so far.
Overall, these are still just guesses, and we’ll have to wait for a while to know about it officially. Stay in touch with us, until then!
