Vivo V5 Plus Officially Launched With 20 MP Dual Front Camera,4 GB RAM And Snapdragon 625

The unannounced Vivo V5 Plus smartphone which made its way online some days ago ahead of its official launch has finally been unveiled. Recall that the smartphone made a miraculous and premature appearance online in Malaysia and was made available for pre-order with a promise of a gift some days ago.

Following the official launch, the  Vivo V5 Plus packs on it an upgrade to the earlier released V5 from 2016. On the recently unveiled smartphone, the Vivo V5 Plus, the smartphone manufacturer made sure to fix up with a new dual front camera which boasts a 20 MP plus 8MP resolution. The dual front camera boasts of a “selfie soft light” flash which lightens the display snapper in low-light conditions.

The snapper mounted on the front panel incorporates a Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor with f/2.0 aperture for the 20 MP camera while the 8 MP layers on the depth information. The smartphone also has the same Portrait Mode effect a found in the iPhone 7 Plus although it is worthy of note that the front camera is only responsible for all these. Following the capture of your image, you can re-focus your shot and add the blurring effect at will.

On the rear panel, the Vivo V5 plus is fitted with a 16 MP rear-facing camera which boasts of a single unit of LED flash and is capable of recording 4K videos. Asides the camera, other specs on the device include the 5.5-inch screen with a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 layered on top. The smartphone runs n the Snapdragon 625 chipset by Qualcomm with the aid of a 4 GB RAM on board. The smartphone also features an on-board storage memory size of 64 GB and is powered by a 3,160 mAh battery pack.

The battery according to the manufacturer is taunted to last a decent time with heavy usage. The smartphone also rolls out with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the Fun touch OS 3.0 on top.

Other specs crammed into the design measuring 152.58 x 74 x 7.26 mm and with a weight of  158.6g  include a fingerprint sensor fitted on the front panel of the device, and a custom made AK4376 dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip which the manufacturer say will provide a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 115dB.

The Vivo V5 Plus will sadly be available in one color variant which is Gold although it makes up for that with its iPhone-like design as it sports an all-metal body. The smartphone is expected to make an official entry into India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar soon.
