How To Update Mi Max To Android 7.0 Nougat Manually (MIUI 8 6.12.29)

Update Mi Max To Android 7.0 Nougat Manually (MIUI 8 6.12.29)

 

 

Recovery ROM 

 

Step 1: Download the Android 7.0 Nougat Recovery ROM for Mi Max, and save it on your device.

Step 2: Launch the Updater app from your phone.

Step 3: Click on the three-dot menu, from the top-right corner, and select the ‘Choose update package’ option.

Step 4: Wait for the update to complete, it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. When it’s done, your phone will reboot to the latest MIUI version.

 

Fastboot ROM

 

Step 1: Download the Mi Flash Tool and install it on your PC.

Step 2: Download the MIUI 8 6.12.29 Fastboot ROM.

Step 3: Press Volume Down + Power, in order to boot the phone into Fastboot Mode.

Step 4: Connect the phone to a PC, using a microUSB cable.

Step 5: Extract the Fastboot ROM and copy the path on your PC.

Step 6: Open the Mi Flash Tool and paste the address bar of the ROM file folder path.

Step 7: Click on the Refresh button, so it can recognise your device, then click on Flash, in order to begin installing the MIUI 8 6.12.29 update on your Mi Max.

Step 8: Wait for about 10 minutes, until the updating process is completed. Your phone will boot to the latest MIUI version.

    that rom have spanish language ? and it works on the “international” or “global” version of xiaomi mi max 32gb

        Can u tell me why? Because i have the miui 8 v 8.2.3.0 and it is marshmellow… So, this is the v 6.x.x. and it have nougat?

          This one is a global beta version thus it have android 7.0 nougat.

    hello sir,
    on my mi max 16gb global version got error when use mi flash tool.
    and try to update via recovery mod, there were no any updated on my device after finished update.
    could you tell me why?
