According to the latest reports, an unofficial version of Android 7.1.1 have appeared to be running three of the Xiaomi’s devices such as Xiaomi Mi Note, Mi 4,Mi Note Pro. The snap of screenshot of the Mi 4, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro posted on Weibo, strengthens this fact that these phones run on Android 7.1. Further the screenshot also shows that their security patch have been updated on 5th Dec, 2016.
It is said that the new unofficial Android 7.1.1 Nougat brings a list of new Apps Shortcuts, Enhanced Live-Wallpapers, Circular Launcher Icons, Profession Theme-Based Emojis and Images on the Keyboard. Yet it is an unofficial one, so the users who hold the handsets like Xiaomi Mi Note, Mi4, and Mi Pro have to know this and be aware about their Smartphones’ OS.
Although the Android Nougat OS has been here for pretty some time, there are certainly a few non-Google devices that have essentially received this OS in an unofficial form. As for Xiaomi, their devices have already got updates until the Android Marshmallow and the corporation had assured that it all will accept the new Android 7.0 Nougat, very soon.
Hence, noticeably; more Xiaomi devices would build the cut as far as being anxious for this Operating System. Anyway, the source is not official yet, but it seems to suggest that the new Android 7.0 Nougat, will start rolling out to the Xiaomi devices by this (Quarter) Q1 2017.
But finally, coming back to the Xiaomi Mi Note, Mi Note Pro and Mi 4, though it is said that the these devices’ ROM has been tested OK with no considerable bugs, we strongly suggest to try them out on your own risk, as some of the real Android features might be missing in this one.
