The upcoming Sony Xperia has just surfaced in a few leaked images and it has the model numbers F8331 and F8332. The leaked images can be seen on User Agent, as live images and as some renders that were tweeted by @Onleaks.
The leaked phone renders are similar to what we’ve seen in the live images and it appears that the upcoming device will have curved sides and that it will be flat on the top and bottom. It has an elongated power button on the right side. Said button also features a fingerprint sensor. Right next to it, we can also see a dedicated camera button.
According to @Onleaks, the device appears to measure 146.4X71.9×8.1 mm and it also seem be named XperiaXR. However, there is a difference between the live images and the leaked renders, where in the latter set we can see that the phone has a USB Type C connector and a dual-LED flash.
Whether or not this Xperia XR is the one of the highly anticipated F8331 or F8332 devices, what we do know for sure is that all will become clear at the Sony conference which will take place at IFA in Berlin, on the 1st of September. In the meantime, here are the rumors specs for the Sony Xperia F8331.
Supposedly, the device will feature a 5.1 inch display with a 1920 x 1080 px in resolution and it will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor complete with an Adreno 530 GPU. It is also said to sport 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage space which can be expanded to 200GB with the help of a microSD card.
In terms of camera, it is believed to sport a 23 MP rear camera complete with an Exmos RS sensor, 4K video recording and dual-tone LED flash and a 13 MP front facing camera for selfies.
It’s believed to feature a fingerprint sensor and to run on the last OS released by Android – Marshmallow. It will also feature several types of connections like 4G LTE, WiFi, GPS or Bluetooth.
