The Sony Xperia XZ Premium and XZs are definitely going to be one of the best Smartphones this year, from the company, which were just unveiled at the MWC 2017. Their stunning looks, amazing screen display, and their spectacular Motion Eye camera setup are quite too heavy specs for now.
That’s what we call a camera, from Sony: the cameras placed on both the XZ Premium and XZs. Their boasting achievement is the 960 fps slow motion video capturing capability. It slows down the video 4x times slower than the current cameras on phones. Further, its ‘anti-distortion shutter’ minimizes rolling shutter. Both these features are facilitated by the Sony’s unique memory-stacked sensor. However, here the slow-motion videos are captured at 720p, and not 1080p.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium
It has a Snapdragon 835 chipset, with 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat. It’s the world’s first smartphone to sport a 4K screen, its enhanced 5.5” panel supports HDR imagery. In addition, its new Triluminos display is 40% brighter than the Xperia Z5 Premium panel.

It has got a ‘Gorilla Glass 5 Surface’, wrapping around the entire phone and is IP68 certified water resistant. Though it looks sleek for its design, it’s quite heavy, weighing at 195g, for a 5.5-inch phone. In further, it adopts a 3,230mAh battery, supporting Quick Charge 3.0 and Qnovo technology, for extended battery life. The fingerprint reader is placed at its Power Button, but however, it might be held up for some regions.
Sony Xperia XZs
We could rough say that the Xperia XZs is just the XZ, but with the Motion Eye camera and better RAM. On the whole, it comes a 5.2” 1080p screen, Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 4GB RAM. It features a 19MP primary camera (1/2.3”) with a 25mm f/2.0 lens, which is quite similar to the ones in Vaio laptops. Up front, it has got a decent selfie shooter of 13MP sensor, with a 22mm wide-angle lens.
