The emerging leaks and rumors confirm that Samsung is busy in the making of their third fitness tracker. Yes, the successor of the last year’s Gear Fit 2 is on the way to hit the market, named as Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro. The latest buzz about it, is its freshly leaked press renders, on Twitter by Evan Blass. The images has neatly illustrated the fitness tracker.
As per it, the device sports a fairly watch-like buckle, which is made to support vigorous workouts. However, other than that the overall design of the upcoming tracker looks very much similar to its predecessor. Whereas, on the software grounds, it is expected to run on the Tizen OS and to be compatible with both iOS devices and Android handsets.
Further, as far as the other features are concerned, the Fit 2 Pro is expected to come with IP68 rating for a tougher interaction with dust and water. Additionally, it will also come with 5 ATM water resistance, which will complement its Swim tracking feature. A heart rate sensor is also expected; however we can’t confirm it, as the leaked images doesn’t cover the back of the tracker.
Besides, the leakster has also stated that the upcoming will feature Speedo On app; a year of premium Under Armour services subscription; music playback; support for offline Spotify tracks; and GPS support. Still now, the original specs and price details are kept in the dark.
Moreover, while we were anticipating that the device would be announced alongside the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23rd; a follow-up tweet from Evan Blass yesterday, has hinted that it’d shifted to the month of September, in the IFA event that is scheduled to happen at Berlin.
