Now Samsung is tirelessly working on the next smartphone in the line, the Galaxy S8 Active, which bears the model number, SM-G892A. It seems to be certainly busy, in testing the phone, as it has now made an appearance on the Geekbench website.
Yes, a new listing prevails, on how well the phone performed on the Geekbench’s benchmarking website. And of course, the benchmark scores are pretty good. Accordingly, the Galaxy S8 Active hits 1842 points on the single core performance test and 6394 points on the multi-core. Further, the benchmark listing has brought-out a few more details too.
Correspondingly, the heart of the device is a Snapdragon 835, clocked at 1.90GHz, the one you could see in almost all the latest flagships. On the software front, the device runs on the Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the box.
But unfortunately, no other details about the phone aren’t disclosed yet. However, expectations are that it will retain most of the top-line specs that the S8 came loaded with. In further, recent reports states that physically, Samsung has taken away the curved edges of the Infinity display from the S8, for the upcoming one. Yes, the Galaxy S8 Active will indeed have a little large bezels on the sides.
Other than this, the device is expected to carry a whopping battery capacity; water and dust resistance; and even shatter-resistant screens.
