Guide To Root Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700P)
Step 1: Go to Settings > About phone and tap on Build Number 7 times, in order to enable Developer Options.
Step 2: Enter Developer Options and activate OEM unlocking and USB debugging.
Step 3: Download CF auto Root file from above link for your device and extract it.
Step 4: Download the Odin tool from above link and extract it.
Step 5: Run Odin_v3.10.7.exe on your PC.
Step 6: Connect your Samsung Galaxy J7 to your PC via USB cable.
Step 7: Reboot into Download/Odin mode, by turning it off, then pressing and holding Home + Volume Down + Power. You should see the Download mode screen shortly.
Step 8: Once entered Download mode, the ID: COM port will turn blue and you will see an Added message in Odin, meaning that the phone has been recognized.
Step 9: Locate and add CF_Auto_root_xxx.tar to the AP/PDA tab in Odin.
Step 10: Tick the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options. Make sure no other options are checked.
Step 11: Click on the Start button, in order to begin the flashing process. Wait until you see Pass, written on a green background in Odin. It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
Step 12: After the process is completed, your phone will reboot.
