Reliance announced an another good news for Indian consumers during the 40th AGM meeting. Mr. Mukesh Ambani announced JioPhone with zero price tag. The said JioPhone will be available for booking from 15th August and delivery will start by 24th August via local retailers in your area.
The phone will be available for free but as said by Mr. Ambani, users have to pay Rs. 1500 as a deposit amount which will be refundable after 3 years. Mr. Ambani said this was necessary to avoid misuse of data.
The Entry level JioPhone will accompany Unlimited Voice Calling, Text messages and of course Data. The JioPhone users can Recharge with a Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan monthly Pack of Rs. 153, which will give them free Voice, Data, SMS, and free access to Jio applications. At the 40th AGM, Ambani likewise reported a frill “Jio Phone TV-Cable” that will enable clients to associate their phones with any sort of TVs. For a connecting phone to TV, clients should revive with Rs. 309 every month pack for bigger screens.
Discussing features of JioPhone, the phone supports multiple languages and can be controlled through voice commands. A short demo of the voice command feature was given at the time of the announcement in which the phone was able to play music via voice commands. Furthermore, the JioPhone will likewise accompany an emergency feature that can be used when long-squeezing the number 5 key. In addition, the JioPhone will accompany progressed NFC which will be delivered via OTA software update.
