Xiaomi is still not considered a big name in the United States, despite being one of the biggest Chinese smartphone manufacturers, but this didn’t stop them from announcing the white variant of what is considered to be the best looking handset of the moment at CES 2017.
Yes,we’re talking about the Pearl White Xiaomi Mi Mix, a highly rumored model, expected by fans all over the world. The first rumors about this variant emerged straight after the Black one was presented and the world was basically drooling at this beautiful piece of technology.
The announcement was made by Xiaomi’s Hugo Barra, but despite the new color, there aren’t any hardware changes.
Unfortunately, no details about a potential market release in the United States for the Mi Mix were given, meaning that fans from this area should consider alternative ways of getting one, like importing it from China, for example.
Xiaomi’s handsets are available in the US, but they’re still not considered top notch, despite the manufacturer’s efforts – otherwise appreciated in Asia and other regions – to release high-end smartphones with pocket-friendly price tags, without compromising quality.
Otherwise, the Xiaomi Mi Mix features a 6.4 IPS LCD, with a resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels, being powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821, with a quad-core configuration, Adreno 530 GPU and 4 or 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity is also variable, so you can pick it with 128 or 256 gigs of storage. It has a 16 MP camera on the back, 5 MP selfie unit, 4400 mAh battery and it’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with a Nougat update scheduled for the near future.
