It seems like dual camera setups are the latest thing right now, otherwise we can’t explain why a lot of manufacturers are opting for them! Even more, some of them are hurrying up to release smartphones with these features, even though some of their current models are selling very good!
Take Oppo, for example. The Chinese manufacturer’s R9S and R9S Plus are still doing very well on the market, but the latest rumors claim that the company is already working at the new handset, currently known as Oppo R11.
The upcoming smartphone will follow the R9 and R9S’ design line, featuring a 5.5″ display. However, we’re looking forward to seeing a Plus version as well, with a 6.0″ panel, while both models would feature dual lens camera on the back and, most likely, dual selfie cameras!
Back at MWC 2017, Oppo introduced a new dual camera technology, able to offer 5 times zoom, so we won’t be surprised if they’re going to use it on the R11! As for what we could see under the hood, rumors are pointing to a Snapdragon 660 chip, built on the 14nm manufacturing process, with eight Kyro cores. To be more specific, we’re talking about four cores running at 2.2 GHz, as well as four more, clocked at 1.9 GHz, for less-demanding tasks.
The Oppo R11 could make its debut somewhere in June and it should turn down all the rumors about a possible Oppo Find 9, since the Chinese manufacturer may have transformed the R-series into its very own flagship line-up!
