Finally, Oppo has launched its F3 smartphone, featuring a dual selfie camera set-up, in India, priced at INR 19,990. The phone will start their sales from May 13th onward on Amazon and other retail stores as well. The device arrives with a smaller display and trimmed-down specs, when compared to the company’s recent launch, F3 Plus.
Dual-cameras are not an outstanding one now, the smartphones like Lenovo Vibe S1 and Vivo V5s have already come with this type of camera options. However, the working of this dual selfie camera on the F3 is quite different. Among the two cameras, one is 16MP for normal selfies and the other one is an 8MP with ultra-wide-angle lens, for an extended groupie.
The phone is equipped with a 5.5-inch HD display, with a pixel density of 401ppi, which is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 and also with the 2.5D curved glass on top. The display seems to have the maximum brightness of 500nits. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T Octa-Core SoC, clocked at 1.5GHz. It is packed with a 64GB internal storage and is also paired with 4GB of RAM. This device comes with a hybrid SIM slot, i.e. we can either use two nano SIM cards or one nano SIM and a MicroSD card.
Apart from the dual front cameras, the Oppo F3 features a 13 MP rear camera, with phase detection auto-focus and LED flash. Other connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 4G LTE with VOLTE HD voice calling support are included. It also packs a 3,200mAh battery with fast charging support.
The F3 runs on the company’s Color OS 3.0, which is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The UI includes, a ‘power saving’ option that makes sure that the battery holds charge for a while longer; and a ‘clone apps’ option that enables to use two Whats App accounts, at a time. Further, the phone has a ‘full privacy protection’ mode, to secure the apps and its data.
