Oppo F1s Leaked Renders Reveal More Specs And Features

Chinese manufacturers are keeping the headlines these days. After Lenovo’s Vibe P2 made the rounds online and Xiaomi launched the new Redmi Note Pro, it’s time for Oppo to make an announcement!

Their new selfie-focused handset, the Oppo F1s, is expected to make its debut next week, but, like expected, a set of images is already available online, showing the phone in all its glory. Surprisingly or not, it’s very different that its predecessor, the F1, one of the biggest changes being the metallic body.

Like mentioned above, the main selling point of this handset is the front-facing camera, using a 16 MP sensor. Unlike other Oppo Smartphone also focused on selfies, the F1s is using a regular camera, not a swiveling module, like the N3, for example.

However, the increased number of megapixels is not the only feature that selfie lovers will appreciate. The phone’s software includes functions like Beautify and other live color filters, perfect for enhancing the quality of the photos. Also, when taking a snapshot in less optimal lighting conditions, the screen of the Oppo F1s will double as a flash.

Moving on with the rest of the specs, the phone will come with a 5.5″ display, covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 and with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The chipset of choice is a 64-bit MediaTek MT6750, with an octa-core configuration, alongside 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The good news is that it also supports microSD cards, with a maximum capacity of 128 GB. As for the battery, it will have a capacity of 3075 mah, just enough for a 5.5″ phone.

From the leaked images, it can also be told that the phone is equipped with a fingerprint scanner, able to unlock the phone in just 0.22 seconds. Of course, the Oppo F1s also has a top notch rear-mounted camera, with a 16 MP sensor, alongside an LED flash, but hey, when we’re talking about a 16 MP front snapper, this is not interesting anymore.

Oppo will officially launch the F1s on August 3, first heading for their homeland, China, as well as Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
