Nokia’s first Android smartphone, the Nokia 6 produced by HDM Global after Microsoft dumped the platform was launched on Sunday in China. The smartphone which is only available in black color in China also has the Silver color variant according to Chinese certification website TENAA. The certification details however suggests that the Nokia 6 silver option may be available in the market soon.
The TENAA certification listing also suggests that the Nokia Android phone carries the TA1000 code-name. The code-name was earlier spotted on the 3C certification and was earlier listed as Nokia E1 smartphone.
The latest smartphone from Nokia runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS which is packed with the 5.5-inch Full-HD screen laced with the 2.5D Gorilla Glass. The Nokia 6 Android smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset and runs on 4 GB of RAM and fitted with 64 GB of internal storage size. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery.
The smartphone runs a 16 MP rear camera equipped with dual-tone flash and also a phase detection auto focus and at the front sports an 8 MP camera. The smartphone also features a Dolby Atmos technology with ‘dual amplifiers’ for better and louder sound production.
It is also fitted with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button of the device. It is expected to be available for at 1,699 CNY (roughly Rs. 16,750) in the first quarter of 2017.
