Nokia did more than throwing its weight behind its first Android-powered smartphone as the smartphone was reported to have sold out in its first minute of offering up. This is probably because the smartphone offers what many Nokia users and trusted customers have been longing for since the days of the Microsoft paired Lumia smartphones.
The Nokia 6 which is Nokia’s first ever big step into the Android league thanks to its partnership with the HDM Global is expected to be the first of many other great Android-powered smartphones from the tech company as there have been rumors that the smartphone company is looking to launch several more, some of which will make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2017 which holds in February.
Many were reported to have gone for the smartphone basically because Nokia is known for a stable build and design which can stand the test of time especially for people who are less careful with their smartphones. This single fact has been proven from the generation of the Nokia Java phones up to the Symbian phones generation. The Nokia 6, in turn, did not disappoint in that department as the build is top-quality and according to reviews, the build is such that will challenge other Android smartphone manufacturers into getting the premium quality out.
In the product release, Nokia said: “it takes 55 minutes to machine a single Nokia 6 from a solid block of 6000 series aluminum, then receives 2 separate anodising processes, taking over 10 hours to complete, with each phone being polished no less than 5 times.”
Recall that the smartphone boasts an impressive 5.5-inch full-HD screen with a layer of the Corning Gorilla Glas 3 on top and sporting the curved edge yet great color production regarding the display quality.
The Nokia 6 also packs other impressive specs including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor running under the hood with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage memory which can be further expanded to as much as 256 GB with its support for the microSD card.
The smartphone also features the fingerprint scanner security feature which is fitted under the home button and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat. For the camera, its sports an impressive 16 MP rear facing camera and an 8 MP camera on the front panel.
