After Google started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to its Nexus devices, Moto users were also looking forward to taste the new dessert.
Well, it seems that their wait will soon end, as, according to a Motorola spokesman, some of the recent models will be updated to Android 7.0 by the end of the year. To be more specific, we’re talking about the Moto Z, Z Force, Z play, as well as the mid-range Moto G4 and G4 Plus will get the update in the fourth quarter of the year.
On the other side, there’s still nothing about the date when older models, like the Moto X and Moto G, will get Android 7.0 Nougat. “Upgrades are about getting it right and making sure the phone performance remains the best it can be,” Motorola said, so there’s basically no confirmation regarding these older handsets receiving the update.
When it comes to other manufacturers, the only one that published something about its update map is Sony. A list of devices that will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat was revealed these days, confirming that the Xperia X performance and Xperia XZ will receive it next month. Other models, like the Xperia X, X Compact, Z5 series, Z3+, Z4 tablet, XA and XA Ultra will also get it, starting in November and ending in early 2017.
