Moto Z Play Images Leaked By Jerry Yin On His Google+ Account

After Motorola released the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force back in June, rumors surfaced stating that there might be a Moto Z Play in the making to accompany them. And now, a few photos were leaked by Jerry Yin on his Google+ account.

In the pictures, the supposed Moto Z Play seems to be very similar to the Moto Z and Z Force with the same design, the same big circular camera and the same connector for attaching Moto Mods. However, the Moto Z Play will supposedly have less impressive specs under the hood when compares to the other two Moto Zs.

Moto Z Specs

The Motorola Moto Z sports a 5.5 inch display and it is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with a quad-core 2.2 GHz CPU. Furthermore, it features 320 GB of total storage space and it has a 2600 mAh battery. It has two cameras: a 13 MP main one located on the rear side and a 5 MP front-facing one for taking selfies.

So, whatever other specs the supposed Moto Z Play has under the hood, they will probably be less impressive that what the Moto Z has.

Moto Z Play Rumored Specs

Supposedly, the device will run on Android Marshmallow and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor from Qualcomm. The device may also feature either 3 or 4 GB or RAM.

So far, there are no rumors related to native or extra storage space, display type, battery type, pricing or release dates for it. It’s presumed that the Moto Z Play is designed as a budget smartphone for users who are looking for a cheaper Motorola device that will also enable them to use the Moto Mods.

Of course, these are just rumors and there is no way of knowing if the device in the pictures is really a Moto Z Play or just a homemade device designed to spark up interest in the subject. So far, Motorola has not made any statements regarding this Moto Z Play and until they do, we can’t really believe anything that we find online.
