Motorola Announces Moto X4 With Dual Camera & IP68 Certification At IFA Berlin

Motorola has finally announced the Moto X4 at IFA Berlin. And seeing the specs and the price, one thing is clear that the device is surely value for money. The best part of the device at the first glance is its dual rear camera and water resistance capability, which is rare in this price segment.

Coming to the design, the device gets a similar Motorola type design but still it looks much better than its predecessors, thanks to the metallic finish and eye-catching rear camera panel. On the back side, the device gets nothing except for the cameras, LED flash and Motorola branding. Coming to the sides, then the device has a power button and volume rockers on the right. 3.5mm headphone jack and the USB Type C sit on the bottom side of the device while the SIM card slot on the top.

As far as specifications are concerned, the device gets a Snapdragon 630 octa-core chipset which is backed with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. Now, there is also an option to expand the storage using an external microSD card. Coming to the display, the device gets a 5.2 inch full HD display with Corning gorilla glass 4 protection. For this device, Motorola has chosen a dual-glass sandwich design, which also has IP68 certification that means, it is water and dust proof.

Now, coming to the camera, the device gets dual camera sensor at the back. One among them is a 12MP lens with aperture f/2.0 while the other one, which is an 8MP 120° ultra-wide angle lens with aperture f/2.2. Camera feature includes bokeh effects, ultra-wide angle shot, phase detection, background replacement option and the 4K recording option. As far as the front camera is concerned, the device comes with a 16MP lens with aperture f/2.0. Front camera does have a LED flash for low light photography.

Additionally, the device gets 3,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging, OTG support, Bluetooth 5.0, front mounte fingerprint scanner, 3 microphones for crystal clear sound, Amazon’s Alexa Assistant support and Andoird Nougat out of the box. As of now, it is believed that the device would get Android Oreo update in future. As far as pricing is concerneed, the devices get a price tag of €399 and will be available in two color, Super Black and Sterling Blue.
