The new Meizu Pro 6s is expected to make its debut by the end of October, according to the latest rumours, but we already got the chance to find out more details about this handset, including the way it looks and, most important, the actual specs.
A set of live images with the device was spotted online, showing the AnTuTu benchmark app’s information screen!
If the design isn’t that spectacular, we couldn’t ignore what’s under the hood, especially considering that it rocking a new chip-set. To be more specific, we’re talking about the MediaTek MT6796, about which we don’t have that much information.
Initially, it was rumoured that the Meizu Pro 6s will be using MediaTek’s Helio P20 chip, announced earlier this year, at MWC 2016, but the thing is that chip-set has the model number MT6757. Considering that the Helio X10, one of the company’s most popular chips, is known as MT6797, this whole new MT6796 must be somewhere in between these models, from a performance-wise point of view.
The AnTuTu results also show that the processor has ten cores, so there’s a chance for this new MT6796 to be a new version of the Helio X20.
The spec sheet is completed by a 5.0″ display, with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. We still don’t know if it’s going to have a microSD card slot.
As for the design, the Meizu Pro 6s will look a lot like its predecessors. It’s made of metal, with relatively thin size bezels and an mBack physical home button, which might house a fingerprint scanner.
Keep an eye on our blog, as we will be back with more details as soon as the handset will be officially unveiled!
