Though some people were still skeptical about the rumors having LG V20 as the first device that will run the Android 7.0 Nougat right from the start, it seems that Google indeed confirms this information. Google posted on the page for the fresh-out-of-the-oven Android 7.0 Nougat a message saying that indeed, this phone will be the first one that will come together with the most recent version of the OS.
The image that contained this message and that was placed on the website also shows a minimalistic depiction of the smartphone. Although people were initially thrilled to see it, upon a closer look you could see that it’s a rough outline and not a clear depiction as such. This is why it’s not really clear whether the phone will confirm the rumors that have been circulating until now about its design and outline.
What is for sure is the fact that the 2 smartphones belonging to HTC Nexus which have been largely speculated in the last period of time will not be released earlier than the 6th of September. This is the day when LG holds an event to make the V20 official in San Francisco. Needless to say, people all around the world will be watching the event to find out more details about the device.
LG V20 will be a direct rival of the Galaxy Note 7 which has been launched recently. It still has a definite advantage in front of the Galaxy device, since it comes with Android 7.0 pre-installed, while the Note 7 users will have to wait a couple of months until they receive the update too. V20 should be available in stores starting September 23, but you will be able to pre-order it on September 14.
