A few months ago, a completely new tablet from Lenovo, the Tab 3 8, was first spotted online, but the trail was pretty cold, so we had no idea about what to expect from it. However, everything changed this week, since the slate also appeared on Geekbench, giving us a pretty solid idea regarding its specs.
To be more specific, we’re talking about an 8.0″ model, rocking a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (a decent resolution, considering that previous generations were stuck to 720p), while under the hood, a Snapdragon 625 system-on-chip will be in charge with powering the whole thing.
Moving on, the same listing reveals that the Lenovo Tab 3 8’s processor will be aided by 3 GB of RAM, while in terms of internal storage capacity, future buyers will be able to choose between 32 or 64 gigs. There’s no information about the presence or the lack of a memory card slot, but it should be there, since previous models also had it.
Finally, the Geekbench also confirms what previous leaks were claiming about the camera department: 8 MP on the back and a 5 MP front-facing unit, while the operating system is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Since we’re dealing with a mid-range model over here, we can’t say for sure when or if this tablet will receive an update to Google’s latest dessert, Android 7.0 Nougat.
As for the price, it’s still unknown, but don’t expect to break the bank in order to buy the Lenovo Tab 3 8, since it will most likely sport a pocket friendly price tag.
