Recently Xiaomi introduced their new Notebook Air device, which is a 12.5-inches or 13.3-inches laptop. Now it’s Lenovo’s turn to bring something new, and they do this by releasing their Air 13 Pro version in China. There aren’t big differences between the two, since they both sport the same 13.3 inches display, with 1080p quality display. Moreover, they both rely on the i5 Skylake processor from Intel, together with a NVIDIA GPU of 2 GB, which is a Gefore FT 940MX model.
Even the design of the two laptops is similar: they both have a slim look, with a metallic body. The Lenovo laptop is 14.8 mm thick and it weighs 1.29 kg. Mi Notebook Air includes a HDMI port, but Lenovo comes and replaces it with a SD card reader. It also shows a backlit keyboard and bonus, you get 100 GB storage on their cloud.
Lenovo lets you choose between two versions of their device: 4 GB or 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and 256 GB or 512 GB SSD. It comes together with Windows 10, dual microphones, which is really useful, and a 720p webcam that has a HD quality. Its dimensions are 14.8x220x309 mm, and as we said, it weighs a little more than 1 kg.
It supports USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, Type-C USB and it includes a card reader for several types of cards: MMC, SDHC, SDXC or plain SD.
It has two versions, Silver and Gold, and it costs 4999 yuan (which is the equivalent of $752 or 50420 Rs. This is the price for the i5 SoC, 256 GB SSD and 4GB RAM version, but the i7 one with 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM costs 6299 yuan (meaning $947, or Rs. 63,500).
