It has been in the news for a while now that LeEco is looking to launch some new devices into the market. These new units were touted to be coming with dual rear camera setup and earlier, two of such devices started to show up online. The first one, dubbed LEX270, carried a premium build with full metal unibody and a design that spoke of the Pro 6.
The other one, which carried Le X8550 naming as at the time of listing, was spotted on TENAA. It has been a few months down the line of those leaks, and we might have another LeEco smartphone in the making.
The newly rumoured device is expected to carry a LEX659 naming system, and it is supposed to be announced as the LeEco Le 2S dual. Spotted by GizmoChina, there is a listing on the device and it confirms some of the specs it would carry as at the time of launch.
Digging into the sheet, we know that the new model is also supposed to run out of the box with a dual camera setup. Below the camera and its LED flash, there’s also a fingerprint scanner attached to the unit.
The key specifications included the 5.5-inch display build and under the hood, a MediaTek Helio X25 chipset. The device is definitely no slouch when it comes to photography, pairing a dual 13MP unit to another 12MP sensor on the front. The only thing that leaked were not these specs only, but also what we would be getting it for at the time of launch.
According to the report, the Le 2S Dual would sell for RMB 1000. Looking at the number of leaks that we have had so far on LeEco devices, it is easy to suggest that not only is the company focusing on rolling out units with dual cameras, they are also concerned about the selfie generation with their large front camera sensors.
