iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Announced With A11 Bionic Chip and More Sturdy Design

Finally, Apple has announced its much-awaiting iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at an event on 12th September. Not only this, the company has also announced iPhone X, which has a bezel-less design. Now, coming back to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which will be available for pre-order from September 15th and the sale will start from September 22nd. Sadly, for Indian consumers, the sale will start from September 29th.

Talking about whats new in these devices, then both iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus comes with A11 Bionic Chip, which is tuned for Augmented Reality. In a comparison, it has been said that this chip is way faster and efficient than the previous A10 Fusion. The chipset is coupled with 2/3 GB of RAM and 64/256GB of internal storage. As far as display is concerned, this iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus get a 4.7 inch and 5.5-inch retina HD display.

Now, we have always been complaining about the battery performance of iPhones, on which the company has said that in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, there is fast charging support which can charge the battery up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the company has also cleared that the battery in iPhone 8 series will last longer as compared to the iPhone 7 series. On top of everything, this iPhone 8 series also supports wireless charging.

As far as the camera is concerned, in iPhone 8, there is single lens 12MP shooter while the iPhone 8 Plus has dual 12MP. Both devices’ cameras support optical image stabilization and 4K video. Apple has also claims of new algorithms which analyzes the scene, creates the depth map, more accurately. Coming to the front, both devices feature a 7MP single shooter with aperture f/2.2. The selfie camera on both devices also supports full HD video recording.

Additionally, the devices come with IP67 certification, TouchID Fingerprint sensor (front-mounted) and Apple Pay support. If we talk about pricing, then lower-version of iPhone 8 gets a price tag of $699 while the lower-version of iPhone 8 Plus gets a price tag of $799. For Indian consumers, the starting price of iPhone 8 series is Rs 64,745 (approx). As per as reports, the devices will be available in three color variants, Gold, Silver and Space Gray.
