If you were looking forward to enjoying all the new features brought by Android 7.0 Nougat on your Samsung Galaxy A5 (A500FU), now is the perfect moment! Like always, the folks over XDA Developers did their best and posted the unofficial CM14 for Samsung Galaxy A5 (A500FU) for download.
In order to be able to enjoy it on your phone,it has to be rooted and have the TWRP custom recovery installed.
Of course, it’s mandatory to mention that this is just an initial Android Nougat alpha build, so it’s missing specific features and contains bugs. However, you can still use it as your daily custom ROM. Also, over the next weeks, it should receive some updates, making the overall experience even better.

Step 1: Download the CM14 for Samsung Galaxy A5 (A500FU) and save it on your phone.
Step 2: Download the Gapps package for your phone and save it. Here – Download Gapps For CM14
Step 3: Boot your Galaxy A5 into recovery mode, by pressing and holding Volume Down + the Power button.
Step 4: After entering the Recovery mode, it’s time to make sure that you will be able to avoid that unpleasant situation we were talking about above. Create a Nandroid backup, so you can avoid losing all your data.
Step 5: Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and select Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, System and data. Swipe in order to confirm.
Step 6: Go to Install and look for the CM14 for Samsung Galaxy A5 (A500FU) ROM. Swipe in order to begin the installation, which shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
Step 7: Repeat Step 6, but for the Gapps package.
Step 8: Download the Temporary Wi-Fi fix from here – download and installing using the same method from step 6.
Step 9: Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe and this time select only Wipe Cache and Dalvik cache. Swipe in order to confirm.
Step 10: Reboot your Samsung Galaxy A5 in order to complete the updating process.
