How To Install TWRP Custom Recovery on HTC U Ultra

HTC officially Launched ‘U Ultra’ phone just a few weeks ago, and one of the most interesting (and expensive) smartphone of the moment. It’s also highly customizable as well, but if you want to take full advantage of your handset, you must install TWRP Recovery on HTC U Ultra!

Below you can find a complete guide, Make sure you follow all the steps correctly and everything should be just fine!

 

Please read the given below notes before you go ahead, To avoid any Problem:

  • This method is just for the HTC U Ultra. Don’t try it on another device.
  • The process will completely erase the data on your phone, so our recommendation is to take a complete backup of the phone and only then proceed.
  • Your phone’s Battery Must be charged 50-60%.
  • Again, follow all the steps and make sure you don’t skip any of them!

 

Download Required Files

 

Download ADB And Fastboot Driver For Windows And Mac  – Download, And install it on your PC.

Download TWRP Recovery For HTC U Ultra – Download

 

Install TWRP Custom Recovery on HTC U Ultra

 

Step 1: Go to Settings > About Phone and look for the Build Number. Tap on it 7 times, in order to enable Developer Options.

Step 2: In the Developer Options menu, enable the USB Debugging feature.

 

 

Step 3: Download the ADB and Fastboot driver From above and install it on your PC.

Step 4: Go to the directory where you have installed ADB and, by pressing and holding Shift and Right click, open a command window.

 

 

Step 5: Connect your phone to the PC and then reboot it into Fastboot mode, by typing adb reboot download. 

Step 6: While in Fastboot mode, you can check the connection by typing  fastboot devices. If your device is listed, you can flash the TWRP Recovery.

 

 

Step 7: Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. This will install TWRP Recovery on your HTC U Ultra.

 

 

Step 8: Reboot your device or boot into Recovery Mode, using the hardware button.

 

Done!
