Earlier this month, Huawei had revealed two new Y series smartphone (i.e.) Huawei Y3 and Y7 (2017). Hence, there is no surprise that the Chinese company has silently announced the third one. Yes! On Wednesday, Huawei introduced a new member to its Y series family – the Y6 (2017).
Obviously, in the new leak, we can pick out the highlighting features in the Y6 as its 3000 mAh battery and 13MP rear camera. Anyhow, this is not entirely a new device; it is an upgraded version of the original Huawei Y6, which was released over two years back.
On seeing this, we can guess that now the Chinese company has decided to proceed in the same fashion, i.e. to bring-in some additional improvements to its old models, giving it a fresh look. Until now, Huawei hasn’t announced the price and availability details for the Y6. Further, it is said that the phone will be available in three different color options such as White, Gold, and Gray.
As per the specs, the new device sports a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280p resolution. Further, it is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T clocked at 1.4GHz. There is a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable through a microSD card.
For photography, the Huawei Y6 (2017) comes with a 13MP rear camera along with dual-LED flash. On the front, it features a 5MP sensor with flash support, for taking selfies at low light conditions and for video calls. As we’ve discussed earlier, the Y6 (2017) is backed by a 3000 mAh battery and runs on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
What’s more! The new smartphone supports connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. In dimensions, it measures 143.8 x 72.0 x 8.5mm and 150 grams in weight. Further, the phone includes different sensors (i.e.) accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass and ambient light sensor. By the way, follow us to get more details about the Y6 (2017).
