After announcing a couple of new smartphones for its Honor sub-brand, Chinese manufacturer Huawei decided that it’s time to unveil a couple of new laptops as well, at least for its homeland market. To be more specific, we’re talking about the MateBook D, E and X, all of them packed with some exclusive new features!
Starting off, we have the Huawei MateBook X, which has a starting price of CNY 6988 ($1,028) for a configuration including an Intel Core i5 chip, 4GB of RAM and 256 gigs of storage. If you want the same i5 processor, but 8GB of RAM and 256GB, you will pay CNY 7988 ($1,175), while the next version, with 512GB of storage, will set you back of CNY 8988 ($1323). Finally, the high end model, with an Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM and 512GB will retail for CNY 9988 ($1,470).
Next, we have the Huawei MateBook E, available in three models. The base one comes with an 7th Gen Intel Core M3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, being priced at CNY 4988 ($734). It’s also available with a Core i5 chip, with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, starting at CNY 6888 ($1013), while the top E model has a i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, carrying a price tag of CNY 7388 ($1087).
And last but not least, we have the Huawei MateBook D models, also available in several configurations: Intel Core i5, with 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD and 500GB HDD, priced at CNY 4988 ($734), Core i5, with 4GB of RAM and 500GB SSD, at CNY 5288 ($778), while the same configuration, but with 8GB of RAM, will take the price to CNY 5699 ($848). The top variant has a Core i7 chip, 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD, retailing for CNY 7288 ($1072).
Huawei also released a couple of accessories for the laptops, all of them available separately, including a MateDock 2, at CNY 399 ($58) and a wireless mouse, priced at CNY 179 ($26). If you care about the devices’ safety, you can opt for a backpack (CNY 199/$29) and a protective case, available just for the MateBook X (CNY 99/$14).
