HTC U11 Officially Unveiled With Edge Sense, Snapdragon 835, 7.1 Nougat And 6GB RAM

As you all know, there were so many rumors; and leaked images and videos in the recent past, about the HTC’s newest U11. And finally the rumor mill ends-up here. Yes! After the U Ultra and U Play, the HTC expand its U series by unveiling the U11, with the extraordinary Edge Sense feature, which is completely a new one in the smartphones world.

To get your hands on the HTC U11, you have to pay €749/£649 (Global Pricing) starting from May 2017. There are numerous color options, such as Brilliant Black, Solar Red, Amazing Silver, Sapphire and Ice White.

 

The pre-orders starts from today, with the US carrier, Sprint. Pre-orders for the carrier variant, doesn’t attract any initial payments, and the monthly payments would last for two years, which is $29 per month; while, the color options are Brilliant Black and Sapphire Blue.

But hurry up! Early pre-orders for the handset, will receive a couple of Amazon Echo Dots, as an amazing freebie. The pre-ordered phones will start shipping from June 9.

It is fascinating to state that, the unlocked version of the HTC U11, will be open for pre-orders in the HTC’s own website and in Amazon as well, with color options being Brilliant Black, Amazing silver and Brilliant Black. The pre-orders assure to ship by the month of June, but the exact date and pricing lists aren’t disclosed yet. So guys, you’ll have to wait for a while.

In terms of looks, the device will feature a 5.5-inch display with LCD 5 panel, while the whole unit measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.9mm, and weighs 169g. The display is overlaid with Gorilla Glass 5, for protecting it from the scratches. Under the hood, the device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

On the memory aspects, this handset is available in two storage options, such as 4GB/64GB for the US variant, while 6GB/128GB for the other markets.

For imaging duties, the HTC U11 sports Ultra Pixel technology, coupled with a 12 MP sensor; focusing speed of f/1.7 aperture; 1.4μm pixel; optical image stabilization; and a dual LED flash. Moreover, it is capable of 4K video recording, and capturing slow motion video at 120fps in 1080pixel quality. With the help of Selfie Panorama mode, a 16MP is for selfie shooter that has the capable to shoot 1080p FHD video.

The device will come with 3000mAh battery with extreme power saving mode and Quick charge 3.0 supports. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. There are also numerous connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, Beidou, Wi-Fi, GLONASS, GPS and NFC. You can choose either Single SIM or Dual SIM, as for now there is 1Gbps 4G speed but in further it may reduce up to 800Mbps, which is purely depend upon your carrier.

Finally, the coolest thing added in the list is, U11 is dust free and water resistant as it have got IP67 certification. So, it can immerse in water for merely 1 to 30 minutes.

The edge sense will perform certain options like capturing image, access Google play assistant by pressing the frame.
