How To Install TWRP Recovery on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (Exynos-Powered Models)

The Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7  was launched recently and yes, its definitely the best Android phone of the moment, packing a top-notch spec sheet and one of the best looking designs we’ve seen lately. Now the unofficial TWRP Recovery was already made available, thanks to an XDA Developers member, who provided it. Therefore, you can currently download it and flash it on your Phablat, via Odin. Then, rooting is as easy as it can get.

Over the past year, Samsung also managed to fix one of its biggest problems: the operating system. The phablet comes with the latest Android version, 6.0.1 Marshmallow, rocking the TouchWiz user interface, with less bloatware than in the previous years. However, we’re convinced that there are a lot of users who still don’t like this and will eventually want to change it with a stock variant.

In order to do this, the phone needs to be rooted and have a custom recovery installed. Today, we’re focusing on the latter.

Warnings & Requirements

  • Installing a custom recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will automatically make you lose the Knox warranty bit, as well as your phone‘s general warranty, without the possibility of claiming it back.
  • This TWRP Recovery works only for the Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (N930F, N930FD, N930S, N930L, N930K). Don’t try installing it on the Snapdragon-powered one or other Samsung models, as it won’t work, not to mention the risk of totally damaging the phone.
  • Perform a full backup of your phone before installing it, so you can avoid any unpleasant situations.
